SERVICE SCHEDULE

Salem has two worship services, 8:30 am and 10:30 am with NO Sunday School during the summer months.  There are light refreshments provided between services.  We celebrate communion every Sunday at both services.

There are several aids for worship available at Salem.  We have a personal sets of earphones which serve as your own speakers.  Large print copies of the liturgy are also available.  See any usher for these aids.  Salem also has large print hymnals and a copy of the hymnal in braille; these booklets can be prepared ahead of time when the church office is notified by Thursday.  Please advise us of any way we can be of assistance.

A Healing Service is held the third Wednesday from 7:30- 8:15 p.m.  Service of the Word for Healing from the Occasional Services, Lutheran Book of Worship.  Hymns, scripture, confession, prayers, the laying on of hands anointing with oil ...an opportunity, in a quiet service, to seek strength, comfort, help, healing, for oneself, for a loved one, to support others who come.... We will also use these services to pray for our nation, for those grieving, and for peace.

Our Vision Statement: Salem Congregation is called to be faithful to God’s love made known in Jesus Christ, loving and serving others and one another, growing together in discipleship. Respecting the dignity and diversity of all, we invite and welcome everyone into fellowship and service.

Our mission statement is a brief statement of the reason for Salem church's existence. It says this: We are a community gathered by the grace of God...a community serving Christ in one another, and Christ in his world...a family nourished, affirmed, challenged, blessed, and redeemed by the gospel of God's love beyond our deserving.
