Youth Ministry at Salem
The Salem Youth Group is an active group of young people aimed at developing personal inter-relationships with fellow youth and a closer relationship with Christ in a supportive, Christian atmosphere. Most meetings contain a minimum of structure in order to be both flexible to adapt to the needs of the group and youth-centered to provide many opportunities to strengthen relationships both inside and outside of the group.
Meetings usually occur on Friday nights from 7-10 pm, at least 2 out of every 4 weekends. The summer schedule shifts to a weekly meeting on Wednesdays during the same times. Please consult the weekly calendar to check for specific meeting dates.
Our Youth group is open for all students as they begin their confirmation journey and throughout their high school experience.
One major thrust for alternate years is to plan and prepare for our visit to the ELCA Youth gathering
